Continuous Development - Floating Metal Seated Ball Valve.
06 January 2017
We continue to develop new product that provides the market with better options for some of the more stringent field requirements found in the industry today.
Our new floating metal seat ball valve provides the market with a low torque seat/sealing arrangement that is smaller and therefore lower cost than the trunnion mounted versions used for severe service applications.
Fully designed to the requiremenmts of ASME VIII and ASME B16:34 its compact yet robust design allows us to significantly reduce cost, weight and space against the trunnion options available especially when used in Double Block and Bleed formats.
The uniques low torque seat/sealing arrangement provides a positive low torque open and shut off operation at full differential pressures. Combined with the high precision manufactured carbide coated ball and seats it provides high reliability and long service life.
The ball and seat sets are manufactured by our Group Company Sheridan X-Cel and all major parts machined inhouse at the Colson facility giving us complete control over Quality and Service and allowing us to deliver all our product on short lead times. We have several months service experence with over 25 of these valves in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Offshore regions.
The design is end entry and comes with our internally loaded true ant-blowout stems giving the market a safe quality product.
Available in 1/2" and 3/4" bore sizes, pressure classes ASME 150 to 2500 and in all materials listed in ASME.
