Quality and traceability

In safety-critical applications, the documentation has to stand up to the same scrutiny as the valve itself. Colson manufactures under ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certified quality management systems, with full EN10204 3.1 material certification supplied as standard on every valve we produce. Traceability is maintained from source material through machining, assembly and testing to the shipped product. There is no point in that chain where the record breaks – which is what customers in regulated industries need when a valve is going into a system that will be audited, inspected or investigated years down the line.

Our traceability process

When a valve fails in a safety-critical application, the first question is usually about the paperwork: what material was used, who tested it, and to what standard. Our traceability process means that question always has an answer, whether the valve was supplied last month or ten years ago.
