Colson Valves manufactures a comprehensive range of instrument double block & bleed (DBB) valve solutions for critical isolation duties in high-pressure instrumentation systems. These compact, integrally forged assemblies provide two independent isolation barriers with a central bleed, delivering verifiable isolation in a single, space-efficient unit.
Our instrument DBB range includes the DFF, DFB and DBB series for standard applications, and the CX series (CX14, CX15, CX19, CX20) – a low-emission range developed specifically to meet Shell Specification 77/300 and ISO 15848 Part 1, and approved by Shell globally.
All instrument DBB valves are manufactured in-house at our UK facility, with full EN10204 3.1 material traceability, rigorous pressure testing and compliance with internationally recognised standards supplied as standard.
All products are manufactured under ISO 9001 certified quality management systems. Full EN10204 3.1 material certification is supplied as standard, with traceability maintained from source material throughout the manufacturing process. Inspection and test records are available to support audit, third-party witnessing and asset management requirements.
Where standard products do not meet the application – unusual dimensions, extreme service conditions, specific material requirements or tight delivery constraints – our in-house engineering team can design and manufacture a bespoke solution. Our fast response to late specification changes is one of the things our customers value most about working with us.
Our valve solutions are used in safety-critical and severe service applications across oil & gas, chemical processing, energy, power generation and defence. Working in a different sector? If your application is demanding, we’d like to hear about it.
CX series valves are approved by Shell globally for low-emission applications. All DBB valves are manufactured in-house in Sheffield with full traceability and testing. Bespoke configurations available to meet specific project requirements. Fast response when specifications change or deadlines tighten.
