A major offshore operator required urgent supply of specialist valves to meet an immovable project deadline. In offshore operations, a delayed component means a delayed project – which can lead to operational problems and budget overruns.
The client needed two Duplex Double Block and Bleed valves, gas tested and supplied with a full documentation package, by 27 February 2026. The enquiry came in January, leaving a tight window. Colson quoted same-day on a four-week delivery. The order was placed two days later.
Colson manufactured two Duplex DBB valves, gas tested to the required specification and accompanied by a complete documentation package. With design, machining, assembly, testing and despatch all handled under one roof, there were no handoffs to manage and no third-party delays to absorb. The order was tracked internally throughout, with cross-departmental coordination keeping the build on schedule.
The valves were delivered on 19 February – eight days ahead of the agreed date, and in under three weeks from order receipt. The client’s project timeline was protected with plenty of time to spare.
Our reputation is built on consistently doing what we say we will. We give realistic lead times, flag problems early, and deliver what we promise. It sounds straightforward, but in industries where supply chain failures are common, it makes a real difference. That is why our customers come back to us, project after project, year after year.
